Albergaria Stop
Located right in the village of Campo do Gerês, just a short walk from Casa Sulfato, Albergaria Stop is a local favorite for traditional Portuguese comfort food. Expect generous portions of grilled meats, hearty stews, and homemade desserts, all served in a friendly, family-run atmosphere.
Parque Cerdeira
Just a few minutes from Casa Sulfato, inside the Parque Cerdeira camping ground, this restaurant offers a warm and rustic setting surrounded by nature. It serves regional Gerês dishes, including grilled meats and fish, ideal for a relaxed meal after a day of hiking or exploring the park.
Cantinho do Antigamente
A traditional family restaurant in the village of Covide, just a short drive from Casa Sulfato. Known for serving the best local mountain products, it’s famous for its posta (grilled free-range beef) and pataniscas de bacalhau (codfish fritters), served with comforting bean and cabbage rice — true flavors of Gerês.

Welcoming, family-run restaurant in Covide, a short drive (or a 4km hike) from Casa Sulfato. Home-made traditional Portuguese cooking done well, served in a cosy dining room with friendly service and good value for money. A little more of a sit-down restaurant than a quick bite, and a lovely place to start or finish a walk in the park.
